For me, yeah, you know what, I dropped a ton of weight – I lost 30 pounds. And that’s what I hate, is that, our society is so fixed on what we look like, right? I would walk up in seminars and I would have guys walk up to me and just tell me how great, and how sexy I looked, because I had dropped all this weight. But in reality, I was standing there with handfuls of hair in my hands every single morning… my hormones tanked, I hadn’t had a period in months, but yet, everybody told me how great I looked.
Dr. Deb and Dr. Lisa also discuss a variety of functional medicine topics ranging from adrenal fatigue and thyroid imbalance to the addictive nature of sugar, and the ways it can negatively impact your health.
Because every single woman we know, whether we have kids, or whether we don’t have kids, everybody, every single woman is juggling multiple balls in the air – all the time. We drink a cup of coffee, right, and our body thinks we’re running from a bear right now. I always laugh, I’m an hour outside of Detroit – I don’t watch the news here. I don’t watch the news regardless. But the fact of the matter is, if I turned on the news every single morning, my body is going to be thinking I’m running from a bear, but I’m just watching the Detroit news and finding out all the horrible stuff that’s going on.
